jojo

my first demise of a pet= 9th November
apart from a handful of goldfishes who can barely live for more than a few days, this was the first death i have experienced.

i was very much shocked when i got to know of the news. he seemed better on sat and sun, keeping me very much uplifted so this news shocked me. the vet called but i was in class so i didn't realize. however, my sister smsed me and i saw the message. i called and she was in a rage. i called the vet to ask for the cause.

apparently, he was dying when they first enter. he had breathing difficulties. they tried to save him but it was too late. he passed on.

they are not aware of the real cause but they suspect it to be due to overdose of steroids. we have allowed them to send jo to AVA for an autopsy so that we would be aware of the final results.

i asked the prof if i can leave early and he kindly allowed. when i went there, i saw my sister in one of the room and she was signing something. infront of her was something wrapped up in towel. and that something is jojo as you can see his ears.

while it was devastating, it was awkward too because my sister demanded lu chang to get out of the room and it was only when he got out, that she release her hand from jojo's head to reveal him.

jo jo died with his eyes open. we tried to close his eyes but to no avail.

he died with so much pain. the needles. the injections. the germs. the kidney failure. the brain damage. the cataract in his eye. the fracture.

all of this due to 1) stupid bath which apparently something must have happened because the vet said that it is 'not natural' for a complete fracture and brain damage just from a mere bath; 2) silly james tan with an overdose of steroids and saying that it is anti-inflammation

henry gor gor and jie jie is right. we had been feeding him 'poison' for 2 weeks. all those times when he violently rejected our medicine, we have been forcing it into him, firmly thinking that it is for his own good. but no.

we were there for 2-3 hours, as we 'sayang' the cold, lifeless body (it was warm when he was alive. so much so that you can definitely affirm that he is a warm-blooded animal.), watching it turn stiff and colder. his fur had turned stiff such that we were unable to remove the excess food that we force-fed him, on his chin.
