my babies

My babies :)

I just bought my babies a week into my internship so they are currently about 8 weeks old :) the smaller violet blue one is the girl and her name is called 'Swan Swan'. The older slate green one is the guy and his name is called 'Condor'.

They are ultra cute and since the second day they have entered into my house, they have learnt how to climb to my shoulder from my feet and they have learnt how to barrow themselves into my shorts and inner thighs.

I still remember that when they first got onto my shoulders and i brought them around the house, i finally fell asleep on my bed and i could feel Condor grinding his beak behind me (lovebirds doing that meant that they are happy & satisfied). It was a nice feeling =)

Yesterday, they stood on my hand and they fell asleep on my hand, with Condor and Swan grinding their beaks again. I read online articles and they said that owners should be happy because it meant that they feel comfortable enough with you to fall into deep sleep with you around =)

Since day 1, i have been placing them beside my bed when i sleep and covering them with a cloth. With them accompanying me to sleep (plus work), i can feel my insomnia disappearing.
